“Reaching the Nations” is more than our slogan. It is LOVE CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY heart’s cry that God will use all of us to “Reach theNations” and to show his love to the hurting world around us – starting with those closest to us (family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors) then into our community, and eventually on a plane reaching people in another country. With a heart to "reach the nations", we have journeyed to the nations of Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Romania, and Haiti. Flags of the Nations line the driveway of our 13 acre church campus.
This is what we call “Global Missions.” God's global plan includes reaching people from every nation with the good news of Jesus.

Haiti
With the tragedy in Haiti, our hearts are understandably saddened. It was our wish to gather a team and fly to Haiti to help in anyway possible but unfortunately the airport is in such disarray that we were told it would be nearly impossible. So we have decided to help in another way. We are taking donations to give to the orphanage God's Littlest Angels. This orphanage is very dear to our heart because of an adopted child in our church that is from GLA. The children are all safe from the earthquake but they are running out of drinking water and gas for the generators. Our goal is to gather enough money to send a shipment container by ocean so life essentials can taken to GLA. 100 percent of what you give will go directly to GLA in Haiti where they are distributing items they receive to other Haitians in need. Below are some pictures from the orphanage the day after the earthquake hit. They had to sleep outside in the cold.

We have achieved our goal. $10,000 has been sent to GLA in Haiti from donations our church has gathered. A big thankyou to all those that felt the need of Haiti and responded with such love, kindness and generosity.
Helpings Of Love travels to Block Party
On June 12th and June 13th Petersburg was blessed with block parties at the Bryan Field and at Central Tie and Lumber. With face painting, a bouncy house, music, food, a dunking booth and more, people flocked to enjoy some time in the sun (there was only a thunderstorm during the setup, praise the Lord) and catch up with neighbors.
