Great Worship Music
A Word From Our Praise And Worship Team:
We believe that it is necessary to live a lifestyle of Praise and Worship every day of our life. The Lord is Great and He is Greatly to be Praised!!! Our goal is to magnify the Lord in music as we create an atmosphere that brings the Body of Christ into unity, with one purpose to Worship the Lord.
Our Goals For The Praise Team Are Fairly Simple:
- To see the team members grow to sing and play to the best of their ability
- To see each individual grow spiritually
- To see members learn what it means to humbly and effectively lead the congregation in worship
- To see each person challenged to a standard of excellence, not only in singing and playing, but in every area of life
Humility, excellence, and unity are our highest values.

J.R.'s Jnana:
12-5-11: With the New Year fast approaching it seems like a good time to sit back and reflect on the year that was at Love Christian Assembly. The amount of new faces at LCA is staggering. Our goal still remains the same, to see the valley changed by the Christ in us. We continually want to show the valley that God loves them and He is their only hope for a fruitful and fulfilling life. I'm sure there will be many more ups and downs, that's life, but I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Happy New Year.
11-1-11: So where did the time go? It seems like it was just summer now we are into fall. Our Thursday night small groups have become an unbelievable outlet for ministry. The more tables we put up the more people that seem to come. We are gearing up now for our Christmas production at the Landes Arts Center in Petersburg and Rockin New Year's Eve is right around the corner. The atmosphere in services has entirely changed. The scripture "when two or more are gathered in my name" is very appropriate for us right now. We have a unified church body that is gathered for one purpose, gathered in HIS name. I'm so excited for what the future will hold.
4-10-11: God is on the move. Our new Alpha class started in March and we had a class full. Over 20 people attend our Alpha class. That is 20 unsaved and new believers. It is the most we have ever had and just goes to show what the Lord does when his house is in unity and order. The band (Grand Illusion) has been getting asked to do gigs all over the Tri-County area. The two dates that we have agreed to do so far is for the Grant/Hardy County Relay For Life and the Pendleton County Relay For Life. There are many more possibilities but we have to work out all our schedules. The favor of God is continuing to shine upon us. Casey Western is now a full memeber of the team and has integrated himself beautifully into the team. Love Christian Assembly has made to conscience decision to follow the scripture and be a peculiar people.
1-23-11: My first post of the new year and it is to give praise to the Lord and the powerful things He is doing in LCA. First, we had an unbelievable time at Rockin New Year's Eve. Between 2 and 3 thousand people came and enjoyed the festivities. We have already started work for this year's New Year's Eve party and we are planning on making it even bigger. Now we have begun to see the outpouring and fruits of our labor. The verse in the Bible that says, "And the Lord added to the church daily." could very well have been written about us. Each Sunday new people are giving their life to the Lord or rediscovering all He can do for them and becoming a part of the family of God and LCA. Our small groups on Thursday night has become a not so small group of dedicated believers hungering more of the Lord and we are beginning to see true miracles happen as we pray for the sick and needs of those who have them. People are calling the church just so our Thursday night groups can pray. I encourage any out there who are reading this, that if you have a need seek the Lord first and all these things will be added unto you.
12-6-10: So much for my promises to keep up on the updates. Winter is upon us and just when I thought it would slow down a bit, I learn that this is not the case. We are even busier than the summer. Last month there wasn't a Sunday when we didn't have visitors. That's right, visitors, plural. One Sunday we had six and the next five. It is amazing to see God still move on His church. Last Sunday we lit up our "Festival Of Trees." It was gorgeous. Go to the Global Missions page to see pictures of the lighting. Check out the Events page to see the update on Rockin' New Year's Eve.
9-20-10: Well, have we been busy. A whole new Harvest plan has been months in the making and is up and running this week. It has taken a lot of work with the whole body having a part. The summer block parties have lead to big things and some surprises will be taking place during the rest of the year. One thing that is not a suprise is Rockin New Year's Eve. This will be even bigger than last years. I had a blast last year and Grand Illusion is chomping at the bit to perform again. We love it. We even have a few suprises in store. None of which I will announce yet. Just know, the band is hard at it, getting the new set list learned and having a ball. It's funny seeing Jimmy and Casey training a potential musician and me laughing at Jimmy's explanations. You'd have to know Jimmy!!!! Keep checking back for updates. I promise I will try to be better.
7-20-10: We are embarking on an all out blitz marketing campaign. The chains have finally been released from the church and the outpouring is flowing to the streets. We have got so many things in the works for the coming months that an excitement is starting to touch the valley. We can sense it in the air, feel it in the Spirit, and hear it from the responses of the local community. Never before has the favor of God shined on LCA like it has since April. Any door that had been closed in the past is now supernaturally open to us. The difference? A people united in prayer, spirit, vision. WE have God's heartbeat. All we are doing is touching heaven and laboring. He is sharpening the sickle for harvest and opening the doors of the valley. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
6-23-10: Wow!!! Sorry it has been so long since I've gotten to put down some thoughts, but we have been buys. Our block parties were a complete success (We Have More to come) and new people are being added to the church weekly. God is stirring people's hearts again and touching His people as they reach out to Him. We have also started doing devotionals on the local radio station, V103, which allow us to touch the people of the valley through another medium. Also, you can "like" our facebook page, which is of course, Love Christian Assembly.
5-18-10: I am J.R. Murray the P&W Leader. This is going to be the start off point of my blog, which I will update semi-regularly (meaning whenever I have time), called J.R.'s Jnana. Jnana is knowledge gained through meditation and the scripture says we are to meditate on God's word day and night, so this post will be things that God has dropped in my heart as well as powerful exploits that happed to our church. So continue to check back and see what I have to say. Who know, you might even be blessed. If you want to contact me use the contact portion of this site.
